Intermediate Oils
This is class is for the intermediate painter. If you haven’t ever tried oil paints before, but you are intermediate with acrylics, this class is for you. If you want to continue building your skill and have a place to paint comfortably, this class is for you. If you have tried oils and want to get better and build a community, this class is for you. Working with this medium as you paint still life, landscapes, and portraits. Exercises and critiques will cover such basics as color, value, shape, and composition.

Kenneth Weinfurtner holds a BFA in Studio Art and a BA in Art History from the
University of Kentucky. He earned an MFA in Studio Art from Radford University.
Mr. Weinfurtner currently teaches art at the Lynchburg Academy Center of the Arts and
at his studio, PennyStone Studio, located in Madison Heights, VA.
