Sarah joined the Academy in 2018 and brings nearly 20 years of experience in hospitality, design, fundraising and event planning. Her resume includes the planning and execution of events with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and other notable establishments as well as running her own wedding planning business for nine years. Sarah was born and raised in Panama and moved to Tallahassee, FL, while in high school. She graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Interior Design and continued her studies at Virginia Commonwealth University for her masters in Art History with a concentration in Architectural History. Sarah lives on a farm in Amherst County with her husband and two daughters.
